Description
Unexpected shipping costs at the last step of checkout are one of the main reasons customers leave. Table Rate Shipping Rules works out shipping from rules you write in plain terms, shows customers what shipping costs before they get there, and tells them how to pay less.

Common setups
- Free shipping threshold: cheaper shipping as the order grows, and free shipping above an amount you choose.
- Weight bands: a price per weight range, plus a step price for every extra 0.5 kg or 1 lb.
- Bulky items: their own rates per shipping class, or freight-only with a message for customers.
- Standard and Express: two shipping options from one set of rules.
Shipping prices customers can see
- A Shipping rates block lists your prices on any page, built from your actual rules, with a region menu for customers
- An optional Shipping tab on product pages shows the prices for that product’s shipping class
- “Add $12.50 more and shipping drops to $4.95” messages with a progress bar, in the classic and block cart and checkout
- Flat rate, free shipping and local pickup can be listed too, so every option is in one place
Rules that read like sentences
- Each rule shows a one-line summary, such as “Weight 0 – 5 kg → $4.95 + $1.00 per item”
- Conditions on order value, weight, volume, number of items or items in a shipping class, with an optional second condition
- Fixed prices, prices per item or per weight (also in steps), and a percentage of the order value
- “Stop checking rules after this one” and “Hide this shipping method instead”, with an optional message for customers
- Drag rules into order or use the keyboard, and import or export rules as CSV
Flexible pricing
- Charge once per order, per item, per product line or per shipping class
- When several rules match, offer each as its own option (such as Standard and Express), or use the cheapest or the most expensive
- Handling fees, and minimum and maximum shipping prices
- Choose whether the order value includes coupons and tax, and whether your prices include tax
