Description

Some stores only show prices to customers who log in. Others keep a trade range for approved buyers, or show a catalog without taking orders online. Hide Products & Prices by User Role does all three with simple rules, and makes sure hidden products stay hidden.

Hidden prices

“Log in to see prices”

Hide prices and the Add to cart button from guests, or from any user role, and show your own text instead, such as “Log in to see prices” or “Trade price on request”. Prices are also removed from the variation form, from the product data search engines read and from the Store API, so they can’t be found another way.

For guests, the text links to the login page with a short note, and after logging in they go straight back to the product they were looking at, now with its price. There’s no hunting for the product again, and no lost sale.

Hidden products

Hidden means hidden

Hidden products are left out of the shop, category pages, search, related products, upsells and cross-sells, product blocks, feeds and sitemaps. Anyone who opens an old link sees “Page not found”, is asked to log in, or is sent to a page you choose. Hidden products can’t be added to the cart, and they’re removed from carts that already hold them.

Rules

Simple rules for who sees what

Each rule hides products, hides prices and the Add to cart button, or hides only the Add to cart button, for guests, user roles, chosen customers or everyone except them. Every rule has a plain summary, such as “Hide prices of all products from Guests”, and can be switched on and off, reordered and duplicated.

Each product’s edit screen has a Visibility by role box listing the rules that touch it, such as “Price hidden from Guests” or “Hidden from everyone except Wholesale customer”, with a link to change them. You always know why a product looks different to some customers.

Pick a guest, a user role or a customer from the toolbar, or from the rules screen, and browse the store exactly as they see it. The toolbar shows who you are viewing as until you stop, so checking a rule takes seconds.

Hide Products & Prices by User Role lets you hide prices in WooCommerce from guests, from some user roles or from chosen customers, with your own text such as “Log in to see prices”, or hide whole products and categories from them.
